Romalite® Empowerment is a soul-led business ecosystem created by and for caregivers navigating the ‘graduation cliff’ with special needs family members. We offer hand-poured candles, digital resources, and gentle guidance for building purpose after caregiving roles change. Our name combines ‘Roma’ (from Aroma and the meaning Roma also means Wandering Spirit) and ‘light’ — because we’re creating light in the hallways between caregiving and entrepreneurship.

The ‘graduation cliff’ refers to the sudden drop in support services that occurs when individuals with disabilities graduate from high school. After years of structured support through the educational system, families often find themselves without adequate adult services, facing long waitlists and limited options. This transition creates a profound shift for both caregivers and their loved ones, requiring new systems and purpose to be built from scratch.

Romalite® was created by Erica’s family and caregivers to their daughter with Down syndrome. After navigating the graduation cliff together, they began building this business between caregiving moments as a way to create purpose and connection while honoring their primary relationship. What started as therapeutic candle-making evolved into a complete ecosystem supporting other caregivers seeking purpose

We embrace the faceless approach to honor the privacy our caregiving role requires while still creating meaningful connection. Being faceless isn’t about hiding — it’s about creating appropriate boundaries that make entrepreneurship possible alongside caregiving. We believe you can build authentic relationships and impact without constant visibility, which is especially important for caregivers who may have limited capacity for traditional visibility-based business models

Our candles are hand-poured in small batches using 100% Coconut Blend wax, cotton wicks, and phthalate-free fragrance oils. We prioritize clean-burning ingredients that create a beautiful scent experience without harmful chemicals. Each candle is made with intention between caregiving moments, infused with purpose for specific transitions or practices.

Our 11oz candles burn for approximately 45-50 hours with proper care. To maximize burn time, we recommend allowing the wax to melt completely across the top (about 2-3 hours) during the first burn, keeping the wick trimmed to 1/4 inch before each lighting, and placing the candle away from drafts

Our ritual pairing concept is the intentional practice of pairing each candle with a specific purpose or practice. For example, lighting our ‘Gentle Becoming’ candle while journaling about transitions, or burning ‘Purpose Path’ during business planning sessions. This creates a multi-sensory experience that deepens your connection to purpose and practice. Over time, the familiar scent becomes an anchor, helping you return to your intention with ease.

Yes, we offer custom candle blends for communities, support groups, and small businesses aligned with our mission of supporting caregivers and purpose-seekers. Each custom blend is created with intention, designed specifically for your community’s needs and purpose. These are perfect for retreats, workshops, or as meaningful gifts. For optimal safety and enjoyment: Always place candles on a heat-resistant surface and never leave burning candles unattended. Keep away from drafts, children, and pets. Trim the wick to 1/4 inch before each lighting. Discontinue use when 1/2 inch of wax remains at the bottom. Allow the candle to cool completely before moving. Each candle comes with detailed care instructions to help you create a safe and meaningful ritual experience.

We publish new blog content approximately twice monthly. As a caregiver-led business, our content creation happens between caregiving moments, which means our publishing schedule is intentionally gentle and may occasionally shift to accommodate our primary responsibilities. Quality and authenticity are our priorities over frequency.

The Romalite® Journal delivers thoughtful letters and guidance directly to your inbox, typically twice monthly. Each edition includes a personal reflection on caregiving and purpose, practical tips for building something meaningful between moments, and occasional updates about new resources or offerings. We respect your inbox and promise no overwhelming emails — just gentle guidance for your journey.

At this time, we’re not regularly accepting guest posts as our blog is primarily a space for sharing our personal journey and insights. However, we occasionally feature stories from other caregivers building purpose-driven businesses. Purpose Pathway is our upcoming membership community for caregivers and purpose-seekers building something meaningful. It’s a gentle, supportive space to grow at your own pace with personalized guidance. The membership includes monthly workshops on faceless brand building and digital product creation, access to our complete resource library, and community support from others on similar journeys.

We’re currently developing Purpose Pathway with care and intention, planning to launch in late 2025. By joining our waitlist, you’ll be the first to know when doors open and will receive special founding member pricing. We’re taking our time to create a truly supportive experience that honors the unique needs of caregivers building purpose-driven businesses.

While we’re still finalizing the investment details for Purpose Pathway, we’re committed to making it accessible for caregivers. The membership will be offered at a monthly rate with a discount for annual commitment. Waitlist members will receive special founding member pricing when we launch. Our goal is to provide exceptional value while honoring the financial considerations many caregivers face.

Purpose Pathway is designed specifically for caregivers with limited and unpredictable time. All content will be recorded and accessible at your convenience, with no pressure to ‘keep up.’ We believe in progress over perfection and have built the membership to honor the interrupted nature of a caregiver’s day.

All candles ship within 3-5 business days of order placement. Once shipped, delivery typically takes 3-7 business days within the continental United States, depending on your location. Each order includes tracking information so you can monitor your package’s journey. Please note that as a small, caregiver-led business, occasional delays may occur if we’re navigating increased caregiving needs.

Currently, we only ship physical products within the United States. This allows us to ensure product quality and reasonable shipping times while managing our small, caregiver-led operation. Our digital products, however, are available worldwide with instant download. We hope to expand our shipping options in the future as our capacity grows

Once your order ships, you’ll receive an email with tracking information. You can also log into your account on our website and view your order status under ‘Order History.’ If you have any questions about your shipment or experience delays, please contact us at hello@romalite.com with your order number

We carefully package each candle to prevent damage during shipping, but if your order arrives damaged, please email us at hello@romalite.com within 3 days of receipt. Include your order number and photos of the damaged item and packaging. We’ll promptly send a replacement at no additional cost. Your satisfaction is important to us, and we want to ensure you receive your items in perfect condition
